Recycling

Another Slovak mystery has been solved today. There are often signs on the front door to the flats from the Tento company. They make toilet paper. It says they will be in the neighborhood at a given time and date, but the rest is unreadable to me. Door to door toilet paper sales? And I thought selling laundry detergent over the phone (yes, I know, but it was my first job) was a stupid idea.

Today, at the appropriate Tento time, the people came out of their buildings with perfectly wrapped bundels of old newspapers and food flyers, ready to be recycled. They loaded them onto the scale in the back of the Tento truck, and in return were given rolls of Tento Toilet Paper.

Well, at least I know where my TP comes from now. Another of the worlds great mysteries solved!

40 Days and 40 Nights

In that time I'm getting on a plane and going to Greece. I'll see Athens, then head to the islands, learn to scuba dive, eat Spanicopida and say a nice farewell to Europe.

I made friends with an Australian girl in Vienna who works on Santorini teaching scuba diving, so I'll stay with her and learn the ropes. Cheep vacation, yet totally perfect.

I don't have a return ticket and I don't particularly want one. But, I suppose I had better come and get my things and return to the new world.

In the mean time, I'm taking a Spanish class here at school. The lessons are in Slovak and the book is in Czech. What's will my Spanish be like when I'm done?
